Zero Energy Associates offers a complete range of specialized Solar PV (electric) and Solar Thermal (hot water) services. We have been designing and installing solar systems for over 10 years and have the experience to successfully complete your solar installation.
ZEA's comprehensive approach to energy can greatly reduce your project cost. By starting with an energy audit and recommending inexpensive efficiency measures that can be completed in parallel with the solar work, ZEA can often install a smaller solar system, saving you additional energy and money at the same time. The energy and system savings on the efficiency projects will pay for themselves in just a couple years.
Energy Analysis & EEM's
Starting with a basic energy audit, ZEA reviews the goals, energy patterns and usage of the building and occupants to understand the energy requirements of the site and recommend optional Energy Efficiency Measures. For more information on Energy Audits, see our ZEA Energy Audit page.
System Design and Proposal
In parallel with the Energy Audit, a solar site and shade analysis will be performed to determine the most suitable location for the solar array. Tilt, Orientation and Shading are all factored in with energy requirements and available sun insolation to determine the correct PV or Solar Thermal system size for the project. All this information is compiled into a proposal that is reviewed with the customer.
Financing, Rebates and Paperwork
Now is a great time to be going solar. There are new financing options becoming available, and PV and Thermal rebates are now in place that make going solar more economically attractive than ever before. System Installation, Commissioning and Training
ZEA is a licensed C46 solar contractor, so we not only design the system, but we install it, commission it and train you on it's operation as well. Having a fully integrated solar team means that you have a single point of contact and responsibility for your project, with no web of sub- and sub-sub-contractors to worry about.
Once your system is installed, ZEA will fully test it, and then coordinate the signoff and commissioning of the system with the local utility. ZEA also conducts system training for your family, occupants and staff on the system, it's components and their safe operation.
